Florida Policy Holders finally get a Bill of Rights when they file an Insurance Claim

Florida Policyholders have been victimized by Insurance Companies and their claim practices for too long.  Insurance Companies in Florida have felt that they can decide on what’s fair, what right, and they want to be Judge, Jury, and prosecutor all at the sale time.

In a step, a small step in Policyholder’s right, Florida Gov signed SB 708 that will prohibit insurers from using credit information to deny a claim or cancel a policy. The new law will also create a “homeowner claims bill of rights” requiring insurers to spell out to homeowners what they can expect when they file a claim.
